They are not filled to the top because we have to be able to pressurize the lighters with a propellant gas. If there is not enough room for the gas the lighter will still have fluid but no pressure and will not work properly. We use 100% oxygen as the propellant gas.
What type of butane do you use?
Great question! We use instrument grade butane which is extremely clean burning. Our top priorities with our lighters is that they work great and on’t cause any type of health problems. Our butane is 99.5% pure. We fill out lighters ourselves with proven U.S.A refine butane. Many companies claim to have 3x-9x filtered butane, this is simply commercial grade butane from China and may not be filtered at all. Let’s put it this way, we spend more to fill up the lighters with excellent butane than it cost to buy the lighters. We do this because we love and use the product ourselves. What is the sense in vaping if you have to breathe in something bad to do it.

Is it safe to breathe in?
You guessed it, it is very safe to breathe in the output of combustive butane. The word butane may sound scientific but is simply refined decomposed plant material. When burned or combusted the output is heat of course, CO2 (carbon dioxide) and water vapor which evaporates instantly. We use 100% oxygen as the propellant to get a near perfect, clean combustion. Butane has been used in lighters for 70 years, no one has ever claimed to get health problems from it. A person is so much more likely to become less healthy burning plant material “weed” and often with a cheap flame lighter because of the carcinogens associated with inhaling something burned.
Why not just use a vaporizer?
Who wants to smoke out of something that looks like a pen, balloon or small square box. Go buy the waterpipe of your dreams put our vape bowl on it and grab our lighter. With our lighter you are the vaporizer. You control the vape not the machine.
Can I refill the lighter?
The answer is yes and no. The lighters can be refilled with the small butane canisters but often the pressure is not high enough in them for the lighter to work properly. The lighter may not have enough flame to create the desired output.
Tip*
Try using very warm water in your waterpipe. It will infuse the air you breath in with water vapor and keep the vape hit from being dry. When ice is put in there it actually dries the hit out.
Dragon Lighters
As someone put it when using out lighters. *The feeling of classic smoking when where no actual smoking takes place.
